PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Plan with the important details in view.

Timing, price, English support, changes and what happens after your report.

What does the displayed USD price include?+

The listed examinations, appointment coordination and Chinese–English reporting. English-speaking accompaniment is included for checkup visits through December 31, 2026. We confirm the hospital, package, date and final total in writing before full payment; there is no second charge for services already included.

Which cities can I compare?+

Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Suzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Zhangjiajie and Kunming. Each package belongs to its stated city and provider. A listing is a planning option; the team confirms your requested appointment date.

How long does a regular checkup take?+

Approximately 2–3.5 hours at the hospital. Allow additional travel time. MRI, gastroscopy and colonoscopy require separate appointments, and other specialist arrangements follow their confirmed schedule.

When will I receive my Chinese and English reports?+

On the dates confirmed for your selected hospital and package before payment. The team agrees the delivery channel before your visit, including delivery after you leave China. Separately booked diagnostic procedures have separately confirmed report dates.

Is my appointment reserved when I submit the form?+

No. The enquiry starts coordination. We confirm the hospital, package, date and total, then request full payment and secure the appointment. You receive a booking confirmation and preparation instructions.

Can two people attend together?+

Yes, you can request the same hospital and morning. Each person chooses their own examinations. We confirm individual lists, the combined quote and how English accompaniment covers the two schedules. Availability is confirmed before payment.

Can I request an examination that is not listed?+

Yes. Tell us the exact examination and body region, if relevant. We check availability and whether a medical review is required, then quote it separately. An unlisted test is not treated as included, and an unquoted extra is not added to your total.

Can I cancel or change the date?+

Cancel at least 48 hours before the appointment for a full refund. Later cancellations deduct only actual non-refundable supplier costs. One complimentary reschedule is available, subject to hospital availability; any non-refundable third-party costs are explained first.

What happens if a result needs follow-up?+

The examining clinician explains findings and advises what to do next. We can help coordinate a follow-up appointment, with any separate charge agreed first. English reporting supports communication with your own doctor; it does not replace medical interpretation.

Do I need to fast?+

Preparation depends on the selected tests. The institution sends instructions covering food, water and medicines. Follow those instructions and raise any medicine or suitability questions with the clinical team before the visit.

Are client stories independent reviews?+

The stories are edited accounts based on supplied visit conversations and photographs, with actual client wording where quoted. They are published by our coordination team, not an independent rating service. They describe individual experiences rather than guarantees for another visit.

Who operates CheckupInChina?+

Nanjing Xurun Health Consulting Co., Ltd. (南京旭润健康咨询有限公司) operates the service. Steven and Lucy work in appointment coordination and patient support. The selected medical institution is responsible for clinical care.

Payment and cancellation terms · Your six-step visit timeline · Ask about your dates

Can two adults bring a child and stagger their check-ups?

Ask the hospital about children in waiting areas and whether the two adults’ examinations can be staggered. An adult must remain responsible for supervising the child throughout; the accompanying coordinator is not a childcare provider. Do not assume every examination room admits a child or that a family can complete the same tests together.

Give the number of adults actually taking a check-up. You can mention that children are accompanying you and that staggered appointments are needed, without sending a child’s name, identity document or medical history. Each adult’s examination list and timing should be confirmed separately.

Can I photograph or film the visit?

Ask the hospital and the people who may appear before photographing or filming. Permission for one area does not cover examination rooms, screens, records or other patients. A previous visitor’s content arrangement or complimentary item does not establish a general offer. See the photography and permission guidance.

Does a short check-up visit mean my reports are ready?

CheckupInChina’s published service estimate for confirmed routine packages is 3–5 business days after all listed routine examinations are completed. Confirm whether that estimate applies to your selected hospital and package before payment. The catalogue does not independently verify a hospital deadline for every listing. Existing accepted quotations and bookings retain their agreed terms.

Agree separate dates for the hospital’s original report, any native English report, a separately prepared translation, DICOM image files and a clinician’s explanation. A routine examination visit of around 2–3.5 hours is not a report-delivery deadline. Additional imaging, specialist consultations, pathology and results-review appointments can require extra days.
