Canton Fair Itinerary: Checkups, MRI/CT Requests and Report Timing
Plan separate time for a Guangzhou checkup, any clinically appropriate imaging, and original or English reports around your Canton Fair schedule.
Use your personal itinerary, not just the fair calendar
Use the official fair dates in our planning hub, then mark your own meetings and available mornings. A day may be free for you even when a fair phase is running.
Separate four parts of the plan
- Travel and registration: allow for your hotel location and the confirmed hospital entrance.
- The core checkup: allow 2–3.5 hours at the hospital for the confirmed standard checkup.
- Any extra imaging or specialist appointment: confirm a separate slot if needed.
- Report delivery and explanation: agree dates independently of the examination finish time.
A routine checkup is approximately 2–3.5 hours at the hospital. Confirm the duration for your selected package. This excludes travel, additional imaging and separate specialist appointments. Leave a buffer before a meeting.
MRI and CT are requests for clinical review
Specify the examination being discussed and whether records or a referral are available. The selected institution must confirm clinical suitability, preparation and whether contrast is required. Do not assume imaging needs no preparation or that adding both MRI and CT is appropriate. RadiologyInfo, produced by radiology professional organisations, explains that MRI preparation varies with the examination.
A finished visit is not the same as a finished report
Confirm the expected delivery date for the Chinese original and the English version separately for your selected hospital and package. The routine 3–5-business-day estimate applies only where it is confirmed in your written plan; it is not a deadline for every examination. Additional imaging and procedures follow their own agreed schedules. Agree the delivery channel before leaving China.
Agree the follow-up before leaving
Check the contact responsible for missing files, report questions and any additional appointment recommended by the treating clinician. Keep your departure date visible in the plan. A flexible morning can help with scheduling; it cannot guarantee a particular report release date.
